DANGER WHEN EATING SAND & SOIL?
Horses and ponies naturally pick up sand and soil as they graze. Smaller quantities pass harmlessly through the digestive tract.
However, if the sand content is increased, dangerous sand colic may occur.
Feed Sand Gard Pellets as part of a high fiber, raw fiber diet. It is best to divide Sand Gard between meals during the day.
For horses that graze on dry and sandy areas and are therefore at risk of ingesting too much sand, NAF recommends feeding Sand Gard once a month as a one-week course of treatment to aid digestion.
NAF Sand Gard Pellets is a unique complex of psyllium fibers that act in a nutrient complex with pre- and probiotics and natural antioxidants.
